Baraa Jarbou'

Baraa, born in 1990, is one of Inash Al-Usra Society's embroiderers. Her connection to the Society dates back to her childhood, when she would accompany her mother, Iftikhar Jarbou', to the Society and learn embroidery techniques and Palestinian embroidery color combinations from her. Baraa grew up loving embroidery, beginning to help her mother with it during her school years, and it became for her a craft through which she expresses herself and preserves her heritage.

Baraa's relationship with the Society has continued throughout her life, and today she is one of the distinguished embroiderers in producing embroidered artworks, alongside executing traditional patterns for Palestinian dresses. Baraa takes part in producing artistic pieces exhibited in galleries and museums, viewing embroidery as a heritage carrying creativity and identity, not merely a craft. Working in embroidery with the Society has also been an important source of support for her family and for meeting her children's needs, continuing a journey that began when she was a child and continues to this day.
